New church built 1865–6 on site of a medieval church, at the expense of Miss Mary Beatrice Phillips, sister of the squire, George Henry Phillips. Rood screen and figures post-1886. The Victorian interior includes a reredos with glass mosaic panels by Salviati and stained glass by Heaton, Butler & Bayne (chancel) and Clayton & Bell (west). Tympanum over south door.
